Wimbledon

I just wanted to stop and say how happy I am to see Andy Murray win tonight. As his ex-coach, Brad Gilbert has said, only three years ago, he wouldn’t last 5 sets but tonight he did and he did it with some extra left.

I attended a charity event earlier this year with Marty Fish and Andy Murray playing quietly in a quiet town called Vero Beach, in Florida. Andy had travelled up from Boca Raton to play for Marty’s Foundation and do you know who he brought with him? His fitness team. That’s the empahsis he is putting on fitness and indeed it shows.

In a small way, it’s a an example to all of us. What we can achieve in a year.. in two years.. in three years as Brad has mentioned. Fitness and health is something we have to deal with for the rest of our lives and there is no rush to make it with a crash diet or a ridiculous supplement. It’s a slow and methodical road down to weight loss, endurance and strength and Andy has done it – and so can you!
