Was St. Pete’s ‘American Idol’ kicked off show for talking too much?
Remember how we told you St. Pete's Michael Lynche was in the Top 24 on American Idol, so be sure to keep an eye out for him? Well, an Idol spoiler site called Joe's Place implies he's been kicked off after his father, who lives in Sarasota, spilled the beans to the St. Petersburg Times.
Marque Lynche Sr. told media critic Eric Deggans that his son, who attended Gibbs high school, was indeed a contestant on the show. Joe's Place says this was considered a violation of Lynche's confidentiality agreement, so he was booted and replaced with someone else from the Top 50. Of course, no one can prove any of this.
Fox declined to comment on the matter, the New York Post says, although Lynche's name appeared on several Top 24 lists that leaked all over the INtArWebz last week. We're guessing it really came down to how much money Fox has already invested in his pop-star training already. We'll have to wait and see whether Mike made it or not.
