New Iron Man 2 Production Photos

You can almost smell the first teaser trailer for Iron Man 2 in the air. Yesterday the first poster was released for the film that featured the red and gold superhero alongside his sidekick War Machine. Over at Comingsoon, they’ve gotten a hold of a few more high resolution photos from the film that include Black Widow and Whiplash.

In the following photos we see Robert Downey Jr. as billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, Mickey Rourke as Russian criminal Whiplash, and Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow. Anytime Downey is shown with that highly refined goatee, you know he means business. It appears that he’s working on some type of new machine and Rourke’s character Whiplash also has his own thing going on.

The photo of Black Widow isn’t really new but it’s a HQ version of the previous one that was released so enjoy it for what it is. Iron Man 2 is directed by Jon Favreau and is scheduled to hit theaters next year on May 7th. With this much photo publicity taking place, don’t be surprised if you see some live action trailer footage shown in front of a certain Downey detective movie later this month.
