Mantara Crockery Holds Food and Wine Together

The rigors of a cocktail party are many, but fresh breath and small talk skills are nothing compared to the challenge of holding food and drink while shaking hands. Designer Gabriel Contino conceived Mantara for just such an occasion. Thanks to a dedicated slot that fits the stem of a wine glass, partygoers can hold everything on a single plate, which resembles and is contoured to fit the hand and arm. There’s even a groove near the top for resting a utensil, liberating hors d’oeuvres from the restraints of finger-food. It looks like just a concept for now, but hopefully it gets picked up and manufactured. If so, beer and cocktail drinkers are still out of luck. [via Yanko Design]
