Jon Stewart, Dick Cheney and $1,000,000,000,000: Politics Dailies – July 14

A couple pieces of news came out of the Sonia Sotomayor hearing Tuesday — like she believes there is an individual right implied in the Second Amendment, and we finally had a chance to hear her response to charges of racism.

In non-Sotomayor news:

Dick Cheney’s daughter still thinks he’s OK, and she might take a stab at politics herself.

The nice way to put it is that the House health plan is kind of like the Robin Hood of legislation.

Lynn Sweet clarifies the final resting place of Michelle Obama’s father.

J. Lester Feder points out that abortion politics could derail health care reform.

The Caucus reports that Obama is hoping to “clear the plate” in Tuesday night’s Major League Baseball All-Star game.

Bill Clinton now supports same-sex marriage, which puts him at odds with his wife — or at least his wife as a candidate.

Ed Morrissey has convinced me it’s a lot more dramatic to write “,000,000,000,000″ than ” trillion” when discussing the record deficit.

And at long last, we get Jon Stewart’s reactions to Sarah Palin’s resignation:
