The Wolfman Poster Title

For some odd reason Universal has decided to step up the marketing for their upcoming remake of The Wolfman. Posters have been dropping left and right out of the blue, and we have a couple more to add to the collection. Two new international one sheets have surfaced online and one of them gives us an up close and personal look at the title character.

The Wolfman is a remake of the classic horror story that’s been done over time and time again. The only thing that may give this film a little more clout is the studio behind it. Back in the 30’s and ’40’s Universal was known for producing these old school horror flicks that went on to become cult classics within the genre. For the most part, they’ve been trying to market this film in the spirit of the original 1941 production that starred Lon Chaney Jr.

On these two new posters it has the release date set as December 2, 2010 which is when the film will hit theaters overseas. The Wolfman will drop in U.S. theaters on February 10, 2010. Does that make any sense? No, it doesn’t but the date was shifted around so many times we should be thankful that it didn’t get shelved all together.
